Most recently my family and I stayed at Summer Wind Inn and Suites to celebrate my husband's retirement and our eldest son's college departure. Deborah, Tina, Mike and staff were AMAZING! No, it is NOT a fancy hotel but we were on the beach and we were able to be together! We didn't have to worry about high rates nor did we have to worry about bugs, etc. The staff made us feel like royalty! I would stay there anytime and plan to stay in between my time-share. Keep up the good work and just know we are now family! *****
We originally were going to stay at the Southern Breeze but the hotel was terrible and way overpriced . We went up and down Ocean Boulevard trying to find a hotel with an ocean view and a pool since its prime Tourist season we couldn't find nothing so we settle on this hotel. It was cheaper than the Southern Breeze it's not the best hotel by any means the maids do not do a good job and the hotel honestly is a two star hotel but very friendly young women at the front desk and we were able to swim even after the pool closed and they have a hot tub and the pool is eight foot deep and has a kitty pool. We have an amazing view of the ocean. The rooms are a little bit messed up , but it's bug free good pool and view no elevator a lot of stairs no trash can . Has its pros and cons .
We LOVE the location! Oceanfront view with a balcony, direct access to the beach. During our stay, it is the cheapest motel we have ever stayed at, and the staff is super friendly!! We want to extend a big thank you to Nikki, for making our stay so smooth and enjoyable!
After reading the reviews, I was concerned but we had no problems and stayed 2 nights. Checked for bedbugs, there were none and no roaches like some reviews said. Its not a 5 star hotel but it was clean, everything functioned and the staff was kind and helpful.
Really not bad for the price! I'm a college student so I'm on a budget. This place was right on the beach and it worked out great. Friendly staff, housekeeping was great, check-in was simple. We didn't have any problems! The room was fine. You could tell that they recently renovated. Everything was newer and clean. I would recommend this for anyone on a budget but would still like an oceanfront hotel. We only paid $54 per night. For that price, you can't beat a room in an oceanfront hotel with a pool and good service.
Roof collapsed on my head but I was offered complimentary bed bugs to help comfort me. Great location to the ocean though. And honestly now that I'm cowboy camping in my room, I can see the stars at night. Simply beautiful.
This is an awesome hidden gem that Was mistakenly discovered after our reservations across from here were not available. The motel is much smaller than others on the beach and it sits quaintly nestled amomg them. The front desk was very nice, and had us in a room in less than 10 minutes. I stayed on the second floor, oceanfront and the view was perfect. I have stayed in many motels on the beach but for some reason the view and atmosphere are unlike any other. I believe because the motel is smaller on scale, you hear the sounds, taste the salt in the air, and feel the breeze of the ocean. The motel has a nice size pool, on the same side as the beach. If you get a room on the first floor just be aware that your balcony floor is flush, without any barrier or gate with the pool. I don't think I would enjoy this if the pool was filled with other guest just my perference. The motel is outdated, but I came to enjoy the beach. There are flat screens and wifi. The beds are really comfortable. There was a flat top stove and full size refrigerator. Where the hotel lacks in modern decor and furniture, it more than compensates with the views, reasonable prices, and friendly staff. I would recommend this place for couples, and young adults.
Good location. Hotel room was clean. It had newer solid surface flooring which was nice being near all the beach sand. It's not a fancy place, but the beds were comfortable, the ocean was outside my window, and they had a place to wash the sand off my feet when we got back from the beach.
